We start our journey through history with a visit to Trondenes church. This church is the world`s northernmost stone church from the late Middle Ages. Beautiful and whitewashed it stands by the sea surrounded by thick walls from the Middle Ages.
A short walk, about 300 m, takes us to Trondenes Historical Center and Medieval Farm. The exhibition gives an insight into the history of Harstad from the Stone Age to the present day.
In addition, the Medieval Farm just next door gives an authentic look into a traditional household from around 1200.
The story is enhanced through the use ofmultimedia show, reenactment, lights, sound and smell. You may also just sit at the terrace to enjoy the fantastic views, or maybe visit the gift shop
